Michael W. Smith
“Wonder” Tour 2010
11 November 2010
Fonix Arena, Debrecen, Hungary
The American Contemporary Christian Music superstar returns to Hungary with new album “Wonder”!
The career of the 3-Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter-pianist is not only marked by tens of millions of albums sold, but also by more than 30 Dove awards and many number one hits. The first part of his 27-year career was characterized by pop records displaying Christian values. During the last decade Smitty has turned strongly towards playing for the Church, building bridges between generations of listeners. According to his promise, we’ll get a good sample of both pop and worship in Debrecen.
The track record of 53 year-old Michael Whitaker Smith is breathtaking even without his musical achievements: Smith is a pastor, a movie star, a counselor and friend of presidents and celebrities, including George W. Bush and Bono. Besides all this, he is a father of five children, a husband of 29 years, founder of Rocketown Ministries, and an advocate of the Third World through his support of DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa) and Compassion International.
He’ll be playing at the Fonix Arena in Debrecen, one of Hungary’s largest and most modern air-conditioned concert venues.
