Dinosaurs will once again roam the earth in a spectacular new theatrical arena show, which commences its European tour in July 2009. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS – The Real Experience, based on the award-winning BBC Television series will see real size dinosaurs come to life in what promises to be one of the most exciting and groundbreaking shows ever seen in Europe.

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS – The Real Experience is being brought to Europe by The Creature Production Company, headed by CEO Carmen Pavlovic. „The BBC series was a brilliant blend of special effects, escapism, excitement and information. Our show brings together all of that, plus something extra – it’s live! In this production, 15 roaring, snarling „live” dinosaurs mesmerise the audience – and are as awe-inspiring as when they first walked on earth. The dinosaurs are life-size, making the show so immense, it could only fit in arenas. It’s a 10 million English pounds arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality, which captivates young and old alike. With Walking With Dinosaurs, we really believe we have created a new genre in entertainment and we hope to continue to bring the new product to arenas for years to come.”

Featuring 15 dinosaurs, the 96-minute spectacular takes the audience through the evolution of these giant beasts from their first existence, over millions of years, through to their extinction. They are accompanied on their journey by a local narrator who is on hand to guide the audience through time with the exciting facts and information.

The original BBC series was seen by a worldwide audience of 700 million, in Hungary TV2 broadcasted it in autumn of 2005. The series won dozens of awards and admissions, including six Emmy and three BAFTA Awards.

The show originated in Australia, where after years of planning it came to life at Sydney’s Acer Arena in January 2007. The show proved itself such a sensation, that the American tour was fast-tracked. It began just three months after completing its sold out engagements in Australia.

American tour had sold out performances and broken records – has been seen by over 2.4 million people and has been written about in Newsweek, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. The production has won Billboard Touring Award for Creative Content as well as critics like „a thundering comeback after 65 million years” (The New York Times), or „that rare entertainment beast theat parents and kids can enjoy together” (Newsweek).

A talented and experienced team of creative artists came together to produce the show; directed by Scott Farris, a Broadway veteran who directed Michael Crawford in EFX, or Chicago and Bette Midler in her new show, The Showgirl Must Go On. The creatures are designed and built by Sonny Tilders, who worked on Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Peter Pan and The Cronicle of Narnia. The score was composed by James Brett whose work can be heard on soundtracks including 10,000 BC, Aliens vs. Predator; and he also helped create the groundbreaking collaboration between Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony, and the album S&M.
The show’s lighting is by John Rayment, who lit the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2000 Sydney Olimpic Games and Hong Kong’s original A Symphony Of Light.

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS includes T-Rex as well as Plateosaurus and Liliensternus, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus, Torosaurus and Utahraptor; the show depicts the dinosaurs’ evolution, complete with the climatic and tectonic changes that took place, which led to the demise of many species. Ocean form, volcanoes erupt, a forest catches fire – all leading to the impact of the massive comet, which struck the earth, and forced the extinction of the dinosaurs.

In Budapest between 2nd and 4th April of 2010, 6 shows will guarantee the unforgettable experience for local audience. It’s recommended to everyone from age 3 to 93!
