Oasis are back! When they finished their first LP in record time in 1994, but at the latest upon releasing “Definitely Maybe”, critics had to admit: Oasis are all but a flash in the pan – something great was about to come into the music market. Simple, straightforward, melodic: the ingredients of the fastest selling debut ever. With hits like "Wonderwall", "Stand By Me", "Don't Look Back In Anger", "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and "Lyla", the band breathed some fresh air into the charts and was constantly present in the media. Oasis have polarized the music world. Past and present. .
The seventh studio album "Dig Out Your Soul" is the first album to be released since the 2006 best of collection “Stop The Clocks”. It is the first new LP to be released internationally by the band’s own label Big Brother. The man on the producer’s chair was Dave Sardy again. All four band members were involved in the recordings at London’s Abbey Road studios. The song most likely to sound familiar is the first single on the album: Noel’s song writing, Liam’s unmistakable voice, and the equally unmistakable, powerful “put-your-finger-in-the-socket” Rock ‘n’ Roll. However, Oasis’ work on the new record marks a turning point. Noel Gallagher said, “I wanted to write music that had a groove; not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus and middle eight. I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving. Songs that would draw you in, in a different way." "Dig Out Your Soul" clearly shows that his quest has been crowned with success.
