She is a Croatian pop singer. Her first independent album was “Zovem te ja” that came out in 1996. Her second album "To malo ljubavi" was sold in over 100.000 copies, gaining her several golden and platinum records.
In 1998, she won the Croatian contest for the Eurovision with her song “Neka mi ne svane” and achieved fifth place at the Eurovision contest. The same year she gave out the album “To malo ljubavi”.
She was named singer of the year on more than 50 radio stations, and received the same title by various magazines. Her success wasn’t lacking even in the neighbouring countries.
In all of Croatia’s discography, Danijela Martinović is the most sold performer.
