Linkin Park is an American rock band from California, formed in 1996. The band rose to internation fame with their debut album certified Diamond by RIAA “Hybrid Theory”. Their success continued with their next album “Meteora” (2003). Having adapted nu metal and rap metal to a radio-friendly yet densely layered style in the two first albums, the band wanted to explore other genres in their next album, released in 2007, “Minutes to Midnight”. With a good response, they decided to continue exploring a wider variation of musical types in their fourth album “A thousand Suns” (2010) which included more electronic sounds and beats. Last year they brought out “Living Things” (2012) combining musical elements from all of their previous records.
Linkin Park has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards.
