Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson founded the Swedish pop duo Roxette in 1986. The band made their breakthrough with their album »Look Sharp" in 1988. To date, Roxette sold over 70 million records worldwide. In 80s and 90s, Roxette established themselves as superstars. The singer Marie Fredriksson was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and retreated from the scene for a while. In 2011 the band returned to the scene with a celebrated album entitled “Charm School”. Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson have an unparalleled track history. Roxette reached #1 hits in all European countries as well as US, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Asia.
